Awesome.  The terracotta army would be my first choice, followed by the Great Wall.  And perhaps a Buddhist temple of some kind.

Yeah, I did the toursity thing awhile back. The terracotta warriors are pretty amazing, as is the Great Wall. I've also been to that big reservoir/lake that was featured for Olympic triathlon events... it looks nicer on TV.

Word of note: If you're going to Hong Kong, you'll need a multiple entry Visa if you want to go back to mainland China after. Ask Geoff, he'll tell you.

*HAPPY DANCE*

Because I ACED my mid-term performance assessment this morning. And I quote: "You look confident, and funky and FANTASTIC" and they said I sounded great, and that it was obvious that I'd made massive progress and breakthroughs since this time last year...

And the entire panel agreed, that "this is not the same woman who stood in front of us this time last year"

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Oh, Em, that's awesome!!  It's like at Soprano's before you left - I almost didn't recognize the person on stage!  So confident and sassy.  You rock, woman.  Good for you!  I can totally sense your "squeeeeee!"-ness right now

Has there seriously not been any happy dances in almost two months? That is tragic!

I'm doing a happy dance for the snow. I know it can be a huge pain in the @$$, but it's beautiful, fun, and has forced me to spend a day at home getting to work on two final papers for the course I'm determined to finish before New Years!

I say, bring on the snow and let's have a White Christmas!!!!

And now I'm off to happy dance in/shovel more of the fluffy white stuff!

YEAH SNOW!!!

Christine and I just built FOUR snow men in front of our building!

It was supposed to be a fun seen as the neighbours accross the street had built four as well. It was going to look like a snow man battle royal.

Unfortunately in the time it took us to cut some carrots for noses etc.. some evil school kids had knocked over the neighbours snow men.

We took a picture of ours just in case!!

Yeah snow!!!

Back to the happy dancing I finished all my shopping before all the snow!!!!

Cool cool. Have fun with that, Chris!

Let me guess, you'll be with UVATT/CanAssist? I know somebody who used to work there back when it was mostly a professor's pet project. I believe we also had a brief visitor in the scene that works/worked there.

I'm doing a happy dance because I just signed a lease on a kickass apartment! Jim's moving out of his place, and I managed to snag it. So, date TBD, but you're all invited to the housewarming blues party!

Sweet! Do you get to keep Jim's couch? There used to be a tradition of getting you picture taken on Jim's couch at blues parties.

I haven't asked, but something tells me Jim's going to want to keep his couch. He is talking about finding a way to move the height wall with him...as long as I have a complete door frame, I'm happy.

Besides, I have a very comfy couch, that I'm sure will be a hit at blues parties now that I will have a place where I can host them.

Happy Blues dance for a wicked weekend at Emerald City Blues Fest in Seattle. Best dance weekend I've had in 10 years of dancing. BY FAR.
